Cork is an amazing sustainable material harvested from the cork oak tree. Every 9 years, the bark is harvested
without harming the tree.
These cork coasters are 3.8″ (9.7 cm) square, and 1/4″ (6 mm) thick. Each set includes 4 laser etched designs
that are permanently burnt on the surface of each coaster. The coasters are then sealed with a non toxic water
– Nautilus Shell
– Nature Set (one of each design)
Sets of 4 are $18 USD. Buy them here.

Twisted Spiral booth at the Keady Market – if the weather is good on Tuesdays, I will be continuing to sell wood jewelry and clocks, cork coasters, and cut paper greeting cards. Here’s hoping for some sunshine…. Come say hello!
This piece is made from a solid hard maple block that was hand painted with a speckled texture. Then the 2 spiral shells were laser cut and painted gold to add on the surface.
These door panels were made as part of a walnut liquor cabinet I built as my final project in school. I designed them and cut them out of 1/8″ hardboard. They were sprayed matte black then installed in the doors with a piece of textured amber glass. I was very happy with the matte finish – they look like metal.
Here are the finished panels before installation:
This is what they looked like with the stained glass:
And a process shot – here’s what the wood (hardboard) panel looked like just out of the laser.
